Crianza
- Grape variety: 100% Tempranillo or Tinta del País. Sourced from 35 year-old-vineyards on average. The vines are head-trained, planted on south, south-east facing slopes at an altitude of 840m.

Winemaking and Ageing
Winemaking: harvest is done by hand at the optimal ripening time, in small boxes of 15 kg. Grapes are selected both in the vineyard (hand harvesting) and in the winery (sorting table). Maceration for 20 days in small vats at controlled temperatures during the whole process of fermentation. Malolactic fermentation in vat.
Ageing: 12-14 months in 225 litres new barrels (75% French oak, 25% American oak).
Bottling: once bottled, the wine is aged in bottle for at least 6 months at a controlled temperature.
Tasting note
Deep red picota cherry colour with violet hues at the rim. Intense nose with aromas of ripe red fruit well integrated with spice, smoke and toast notes. On the palate, it is a structured and mouth-coating wine, with silky tannins. Bitterness and acidity are well balanced. A wine with a long finish.
Food pairing and suggestions
A perfect match with all kinds of red meat, game, haute cuisine, desserts… Recommended serving temperature: 16ºC.
Potential for ageing: 5 to 8 years.
